Breaking News: Press Release - For Immediate Release!

The Management regrets to inform that the Author is no longer in sound health to continue blogging in a civil society. Initial investigations have revealed that the Author is indeed an escaped ward patient, and is currently loose like Waldo or Carmen Sandiago.

In his moments of fits, the Author have made such wild claims of "things to come" and that "he's seen it". Initially, the Management has ignored such remarks as merely natural of a student of Psychology, but the fact that he seems to truly believe in it, and worse, has decided to record down his demented thoughts, had caused alarm bells to ring.

It is with deepest regrets but within the rights and responsibility of the Management to pull the plug and euthanize this blog to capture the Author's moments of dementia permanently in time.

Unverified sources have claimed that the Author, alias Ahmad, Is At Blogspot. We cannot claim the authenticity of this source, nor do we know where Blogspot is at.

We apologize to you, dear reader, for this unfortunate (though foreseeable) demise of the author's mental health. The Management bids you adieu, and hope that you all live a good mentally stable life.

    Passion

Passion - So long as you have it burning within you, ever so carefully so as to not burn you out, then it will forever light up the path of your destiny. - Me

Having tons and tons and tons of stuff to do and think of and prepare for this coming (and past) few weeks. Burn out is something I gotta watch out for, but the adrenaline pump is keepin' it goin'.

    The Departed

It's odd. You see a familiar face every now and then. You're not very close to that person. And you take for granted the fact that the times you both meet are finite. And then, the person passes away. Just like that.

I got the news from my dad earlier in the evening that he passed away yesterday morning. It's sad; I've never really gotten to know Krishnan very well. Apart from the fact that he's well my senior (80ish years old), I've only chatted with him a number of times on pleasentaries.

Our only bond was our love for speaking. It's true that you only start to miss people when they're no longer around. I wish I'd gotten to know you better, Krishan. But for what it's worth, what little I knew of you have inspired me. If at your age, you still aspire to improve in spite of age, what of men like me?

To my fellow Toastmaster member, my fellow friend, and my fellow senior; Subramania Iyer, Krishnan.

    Rest in peace.

    An Introspective

Today was another day that I come and attend a family gathering. And like every single time before this, I come there very much looking forward to acquaint myself with the food. Unfortunately, despite so many years and gatherings, I've not remembered most of the names of my cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives. You see, unlike my relatives, I acquaint myself easily with food because 1) I don't have to remember it's name 2) I don't have to talk to it.

Even though I seem to be a very social person (yes, some will most certainly argue against that), when it comes to family gatherings; I'm very quiet and reserved.

Matching names to faces isn't the only problem of course, but the fact that I have to speak in my native tongue of Bahasa. Granted, I can speak it fairly well if I want to, but it doesn't roll of the tongue naturally, and so in the end I prefer to be a quiet observer, chatting with the very few people that I know well enough (sans my own family of course).

I've never been very close to any of my cousins and relatives, and to be frank, I much prefer it this way. On my mother's side, mostly everyone is very very reserved and quiet, and news travels at the speed of a dead snail. On my dad's side, gatherings are rambunctious and noisy, and news travel like wildfire due to the tight-knitted bond. Both on the extreme sides, and I don't really enjoy gatherings on either side to be honest.

I dunno, I guess I don't feel like I relate to them much apart from the obligatory blood ties. It sucks in a way I guess, because I know plenty of people who enjoy close and happy relationships with their relatives. Probably this is the anxious relationship type lol. I sometimes wish I live on an island without having to be forced to meet up with people I don't know (and sadly don't care much about).

Wow, that sounds so depressing lol. Whatever.

Gadoh, a 70-minute feature film that explores our perception of identity and challenges our hatred of the “other”.

    SYNOPSIS:
Gadoh tells a story of a group of teenagers who fought each other along racial lines; a cycle of hatred and violence further escalated by their environment and school system.

What was to be a quick resolution to improve the school’s bad image, was taken as an opportunity for one teacher who believed that real change was possible. She ropes in the help of an old friend and reluctant maverick theater activist for this arduous task.

Is there hope amidst the cycle of discrimination that surrounds us?

    Street Fighter IV, PSY220

I has it! For PC! Weee! And ZOMG the graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay superb! But controls are kinda annoying since it's ported from console. Can't complain though! *goes off to play*

Also, PSY220 is bleh. Tiring to write so much! I seriously prefer half MCQ, half essay. Jeez.

UPDATE: Well, apart from the seriously awesome graphics, it's not the best SF out there though :( I can't believe there's so little moves for each character!

A persuasive speech in the morning, followed by PSY220 finals. I am un-envious of myself. Gonna be fun!
